There’s nothing like hitting the bar at happy hour and enjoying some fried appetizers and discounted drinks with friends, although... hitting the home “bar” with some appetizers from TJ’s has its perks. We worked with seafood specialists in Italy to develop our own version of the classic Italian Anelli alla Romana (“Roman Rings”). Our Calamari is made with squid rings and tentacles that are lightly battered with a combination of wheat flour, rice semolina, and baking soda. This helps develop a Crispy crunch during cooking in your conventional oven or air fryer. And they’re seasoned with salt, black pepper, garlic, onion, and chili pepper; just the right amount of flavor to enjoy as-is, or with a simple squeeze of fresh lemon juice.  Of course, dipping these Crispy Battered squid into your favorite TJ’s sauce (we have so many!) adds yet another layer of deliciousness. You’ll find 16-ounce packages of Trader Joe’s Crispy Battered Calamari every day in our freezers. Keep some in your freezer, for the next time you and your friends decide to have a happy hour at home.
