Raorao Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is a blast from the past and is better than ever! The vibrant and expressive wine from down under exemplifies New Zealand’s signature style. Opening with an aromatic bouquet of fresh cut grass, ripe gooseberry, and sun kissed passionfruit. On the palate, layers of tropical fruits unfold, juicy pineapple and guava mingle with zesty notes of pink grapefruit, and lime zest while subtle undertones of fresh herbs and wet river stones provide compelling complexity. The wines’ characteristic acidity creates a mouthwatering tension that’s perfectly balanced by its concentrated fruit core and subtle mineral finish. This versatile wine pairs brilliantly with Pacific Rim cuisines particularly with fresh seafood dishes, like raw oysters and a citrus mignonette, Thai style green curry or grilled fish with a bright herby dressing. It is also great with a tangy goat cheese on top of a salad alongside avocado and a calamansi vinaigrette. The wine’s bright acidity and pure fruit expressions make it an excellent aperitif while it’s depth and structure allow to stand up to moderately spicy dishes.
